good singing but average story
In New Orleans many years ago, I first saw JMSN and it was a great experience - exceptional singing, great story, and wonderful stage sets. The production really disappointed me this time as the story seemed condensed and lacking the action and excitement I had previously witnessed. The singing was the standout aspect, earning it 4 stars from me, but in my opinion, the rest of it seemed to be lacking. I would give it at most 2-3 stars. My husband, on the other hand, would rate it with 2 stars! The speaking parts were very hard to hear as well. Perhaps that was more due to the Bob Carr Center.
